Singing may look simple enough, but the voice is a complex series of systems that form an expressive and delicate living instrument inside of each of us. Perhaps more than any other musical discipline, having an experienced voice teacher to assist you in training these processes to work together is key to a healthy, lifelong enjoyment of singing.
Grace Music School highly-trained instructors will assist you in learning strong fundamentals including proper breathing, diction, resonance, stage presence, and non-verbal expression. We strive to ensure that our voice students become literate musicians, so lessons will also include discussions of music theory, history, and rhythm. Mastering these technical basics will broaden your horizons and allow you to explore many different styles and genres of music in the future!

Our Voice Teachers
Sam began to play the piano when he was only three. When Sam was seven, he started his formal training as a vocalist. He enjoys singing and playing a variety of genres including classical, jazz, and country, while simultaneously crafting original songs.
Napoleon, one of ten children hails from Staten Island, NY where his mother filled their home with an eclectic array of music, “My mother did not discriminate when it came to music, If it was good music, it was played.”

Nicki is a vocal and piano teacher at GMS, priding herself in finding the unique balance between foundation and fun in each student’s lesson. Besides being an enthusiastic and dedicated educator for the past 15+ years of her life.
Naomi Pierro is a singer and actress who grew up on Long Island. She has performed in many different recitals, concerts, musical theater shows, operas, and churches around NY. She has also won various singing competitions, including one at Carnegie Hall.

New to Grace Music School, music teacher Patricia has enjoyed a varied musical career incorporating teaching and performing, having begun both before entering college.
Toni Acerra has been teaching at Grace Music School since November 2021. She specializes in voice and piano, and teaches a wide range of ages and levels across her instruments.

Molly Gallipeau is a classically trained musician that has been studying for nearly two decades. She studied at Lynn Conservatory in the preparatory program and will be receiving her B.F.A. at Five Towns College in Piano Performance and Audio Recording.
Nico Van Patten
Nico is an enthusiastic vocalist, composer, and music producer. He is dedicated to enhancing his students’ skills while also deepening their knowledge of music theory, vocal techniques, and anatomy.
Andrea Niane Ettestoel
Hailing all the way from Norway, Andrea holds a Bachelor’s degree in vocal performance as well as a Master’s in songwriting from NYU. She has over 17 years of performance and songwriting experience from folk-pop trio Ask to her own artist project.

Frenie Acoba is an actress, singer, and dancer, where she has been involved in theater and entertainment for over a decade. Frenie has performed professionally in the National Tour of “South Pacific” and in the Original Broadway Cast of “Matilda the Musical”.

Caitlin Francis has been teaching voice, piano, and violin lessons at Grace Music School since 2017. She graduated from LIU Post in 2015 with a degree in music education with a focus in vocal studies.

What Is a Good Age to Start Voice Lessons?
The minimum age we recommend a student start voice lessons is around 6 years old. Many parents want their child to start much younger, but a voice lesson that focuses strictly on technique can be very challenging on younger vocal cords that have not yet developed. We are happy to help you learn more and determine if your child is ready!
Teens and adults are welcome and may also want to include voice lessons with another instrument they are learning. How much do voice lessons cost?
The cost of voice lessons on Long Island may vary based on factors such as lesson length and frequency. At Grace Music School, we offer multiple lesson lengths at a frequency of once per week. Our 30 minute weekly rate is $180 per month, but we also offer 45 and 60 minute weekly lesson options.
