About Alyssa Rivera
Alyssa Rivera has been teaching across Long Island and Queens since 2013, some of those students are still with her. With a passion for music, she studied piano, voice and guitar from a young age. She studied Music Education with a primary in Voice at Westminster Choir College of Rider University, and would continue her education at the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College. She’s had the privilege of performing at celebrated music venues such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and the Kimmel Center with the Philadelphia Orchestra.
Alyssa believes that music lessons should be a safe place to learn a solid foundation of music, but also a place to discover more about yourself. When Alyssa isn’t teaching, you can find her performing in Queens with local theatre troops and choirs, or with her head buried in a good book.
