At Grace Music School, we teach a variety of brass instruments – including trumpet, baritone, french horn, and trombone – each of which plays a critical role in bringing to life the music we know and love.

We Emphasize Healthy Technique
We believe mastery of fundamentals is key to providing a strong foundation for a musician’s growth. At Grace Music School, you’ll learn the key elements of strong brass technique including breath support, voicing, embouchure, articulation, finger technique, and posture. Understanding these necessities will help you maintain control of the tone and quality of your music.

Our Brass Teachers
Aidan Walsh
Aidan Walsh is a dedicated and passionate music teacher and musician from Long Island, NY. He found his love for music when he started playing the trumpet in fourth grade. He graduated from the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College in January of 2024
David Nieves
David Nieves is a 25-year musician specializing in drums, percussion, woodwinds, brass and piano. He got his start at the age of 10 when a chance meeting with a music teacher prompted him to start clarinet.
Dylan Krukowski
Dylan Krukowski is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist and music educator with a deep background in chamber music and solo performance. Having graduated from Ithaca College with a dual degree in Performance and Music Education,
Michael Roberts
Michael is a versatile and eclectic guitarist based in the New York area. His performances have taken him throughout the United States and Canada. Equally comfortable on the classical and electric guitar, his playing experience ranges from standard classical guitar repertoire to jazz, rock, blues and world music.
Donavan Austin
Donavan Austin is a trailblazing trombonist, composer, arranger, and educator dedicated to his craft and determined to spread the joy of music. Hailing from a suburban area of Northampton County, Pennsylvania, his love for jazz and the trombone stems from his time at Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts.
Christopher Greer
Christopher Greer brings more than twenty-seven years of experience as an instrumental music educator, specializing in elementary band instruction. Throughout his career, he has cultivated a reputation for creating fun, motivating, and musically rigorous environments where students thrive.
