Woodwind instruments, such as the flute, produce rich, expressive, and emotionally impactful music in both solo and group settings. At Grace Music School, we teach the flute to students of all ages.

New to Grace Music School, music teacher Patricia has enjoyed a varied musical career incorporating teaching and performing, having begun both before entering college.
Guitar, Ukulele, Piano, Oboe
Allison DiMauro has been teaching guitar, piano, and ukulele at Grace Music School since 2018. Allison received her Bachelors in Music Education from SUNY Fredonia and she is a NYS certified music teacher.

Kyle Hansen is a guitar player and vocalist hailing from the small town of Huntington, NY. Born with a growing passion for music, he began playing the guitar at 13 years old and quickly realized that it was his true calling.

Link Rossano has an extensive list of experience with both teaching and performing music, including volunteer work teaching students of all ages as well as performing in various ensembles for artists like Michael Gayle and Lisa Vroman.

Lauren Kurtz has a love of music and wants to pass that on to others. She started playing the flute in Junior High School and shortly added the piccolo and tenor saxophone.

What Is the Minimum Age to Start Woodwind Lessons at Grace Music School?
An instrument like the flute requires a certain level of physical development, and dexterity. Proper lung capacity is needed to produce the right sound and tone
We recommend starting woodwind lessons no earlier than age eight. At this point, students tend to have the necessary physical attributes that allow them to be successful when learning to play the clarinet or saxophone.
