About Rosie Barker

Rosie Barker is a voice teacher, performer, and passionate music educator with a rich background in musical theatre, rock, classical, jazz, and contemporary pop vocal styles. A proud member of Actors’ Equity Association (AEA), Rosie studied acting through the Meisner technique and graduated from AMDA. She has been auditioning, performing, and working in professional productions since the age of 10.With a strong foundation in performance and vocal health, Rosie specializes in audition technique, stage presence, body awareness and confidence, vocal repertoire, NYSSMA preparation, and more. She studied under renowned vocal coach Dr. William Riley (Celine Dion, Björk, Renée Fleming, and more) and continued her training with Matt Farnsworth Studios through the pandemic. Rosie is committed to ongoing vocal pedagogy study to deepen her work—not only as a vocalist, but as an instructor who empowers singers with tools they can apply directly to their material.

Rosie also teaches beginner piano and guitar, and loves introducing music to groups of children. She believes music should be joyful and accessible to learners of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities.

In addition to teaching, Rosie is the lead singer of K&R, a jazz-influenced music duo based on Long Island. K&R performs across New York State—from Montauk to the Catskills—at vineyards, restaurants, and private events. The duo reimagines iconic ‘90s songs as cheeky jazz standards, in addition to performing traditional jazz repertoire and original music, which is now available to stream on all major platforms.

Rosie believes every voice has value and beauty. Her mission is to demystify vocal technique and help singers unlock their sound by offering practical, approachable tools that build both confidence and artistry.
