We’re more than just Music lessons & Dance classes!

Music & Dance Academy works together with Tucson and Oro Valley arts organizations, businesses and associations to bring educational and enrichment opportunities to our students and the community at large. The Academy partners with local schools and community organizations to offer music and dance education and free concerts featuring Academy students and faculty.

Public Recitals

Each year, Academy students participate in public recitals at the University of Arizona, Barnes & Noble Bookstore, community centers, and retirement communities, bringing the gift of music and dance to the community at large.

Community Events

Music & Dance Academy students and faculty participate with performances in various festivals, fairs, and events throughout the greater Tucson region. Events include Tucson Meet Yourself!, Tucson Children’s Museum FAME event, Oro Valley Children’s Museum events, Town of Oro Valley Kids Concert Series and Oro Valley Arts in the Park to name a few.

Music & Dance Workshops

Various workshops and master classes are offered each year with nationally and internationally renowned artists and leading master teachers, providing students and teachers a valuable resource for growth and enrichment. Open to the public.

Magic Carpet Concert Children’s Concert Series

Magic Carpet Concerts introduce young students to a variety of music instruments and dance styles of diverse cultures and time periods. Professional musicians and dancers encourage audience participation on the “Magic Carpet”, offering opportunities to play rhythm instruments, dance/move with the beat and sing!

Fables, Tall Tales and Music for Me!

Hosted by Barnes & Noble, Music & Dance Academy presents this interactive concert series, featuring well-known and newly published children’s literature. The series offers children an opportunity to experience the wonderful connection between music and the written word. Children participate in the storytelling series using rhythm instruments and movement appropriate to the story.
