The Music & Dance Academy believes that private music lessons are the best way for anyone to learn how to play an instrument. One on one instruction encourages the growth of excellent music skills, and provides a foundation for music literacy. In this format, students have the flexibility to learn the type of music they personally are most interested in and teachers are able to develop individualized programs for study allowing for instruction that best suits the student.
In private lessons, the teacher can focus 100% attention to ensure that important fundamentals such as hand positioning, posture or understanding of a particular concept are correct. If a student encounters difficulty in one area, the teacher can work on it without hampering the progress of a class of students. Alternatively, if a student is excelling in one area, the teacher will move the student forward.
We offer 30 minute, 45 minute and 1 hour lessons for all ages and all abilities. The length of the lesson is normally based on student age, skill level and teacher recommendation. Our music teachers are trained professionals, with university degrees in the instruments/voice that they teach. We teach beginning students to advanced musicians.

All Ages Welcome
The Music & Dance Academy provides a robust music or dance education. Private lessons and group classes are available for all ages, including Music Funtime and Mommy & Me classes for toddlers all the way up to Adult classes and lessons. Families can find something for everyone at our school.

The piano is both approachable for young beginners and richly complex for advanced players, and is perfect for learning to read music and building a strong musical foundation.
Guitar & Ukulele
One of the foundational instruments of contemporary music, our guitar instructors teach across genres and will equip you to play for yourself or as part of a group.
Violin
Whether you want to learn the classics or contemporary pieces, our instructors will help you master the bowing and finger technique needed to excel at this captivating instrument.
Drums
Learn to play the drum kit and other percussion instruments. Create fun and complex beats while developing healthy technique.
