James is a drum, piano, bass, and guitar teacher at Green Brooms music academy; with over 18 years of playing experience and over 9 years of teaching experience! James has his Bachelor’s degree in music from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia,
Billy
Guitar
Billy is a recording and performing session guitarist that has been studying music for over 15 years. Growing up in Orange County, CA he began playing guitar for numerous bands that performed all across Southern California from LA to San Diego. He attended Berklee College of Music earning his Bachelor’s degree in Professional Music
Ryan
Cello, Drums, Piano, Guitar
Ryan first began to play music at the age of 5 when his parents taught him how to play the piano. Six years later, he taught himself how to play the drums and learned how to play the cello when his uncle– an experienced cellist of 20 years
Asha
Voice, Piano, Guitar
Asha is a passionate and versatile singer and performer with a bachelor’s degree in music education, as well as a bachelor’s in vocal performance from the Colorado University of Boulder. She is a classically trained coloratura soprano with experience in both opera and musical theater, as well as straight theater and small/personal projects.

Patrick is a multi-instrumentalist performer, songwriter, and engineer, making him an all-round “music man”. He studied at USC’s Thornton School of Music, achieving the degree of Master of Music in Studio Guitar, while he also helped run their prestigious Screen Scoring and Music Production programs.

Get StartedWhat Age Should My Child Start Guitar Lessons?
The minimum age recommended for starting guitar lessons is 7 years old. Due to the thickness of the strings and fine motor skills needed to play the instrument, we do not recommend starting guitar any younger. For younger students, we recommend learning the ukulele.
The minimum age we recommend a student start ukulele lessons is 5 years old. Starting age will largely depend on the student, some may need to wait longer than others depending on factors such as fine motor skills, attention span and overall interest in music.
Do I Need a Guitar/Ukulele to Start the Lessons?
Yes, you will need a guitar or ukulele to start the lessons. Without an instrument, you won’t be able to practice between lessons and make weekly progress. If cost is a concern, good beginner guitars are inexpensive and most music stores have a 30-day return policy if it’s not for you.
