About Peter C.
Peter C. is a music educator, multi-instrumentalist, performing artist, and composer. Peter has been playing drums, guitar, bass, and piano since his youth and began writing and recording original material in his teenage years. Peter has studied orchestration, piano, drums, classical guitar, jazz, West African drum, Gamelan, acoustics, and other subjects while obtaining a Contemporary Music Degree from the College of Santa Fe. Peter has been teaching guitar, bass, piano, and drums for 17 years. Peter has also hosted workshops on songwriting, tracking, recording, and mixing with artists and bands, helping them foster musical identity and sound.
Peter seeks to foster enthusiasm with his students by identifying what they are drawn to in music. He appreciates when students have those “a-ha!” moments, as they create memorable experiences along their musical paths. Peter thrives from collaboration and enjoys sharing and learning musical experiences. He is a member of the Society of Composers & Lyricists, Academy of Scoring Arts, and a performing guest at Figueroa Unanimous Radio. When Peter is not writing, playing, or teaching music, he is surfing, snowboarding, listening to records and cassettes or catching old films at the theater.
