About Dr. Yiwen Zhu
Yiwen Zhu is a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) candidate in Piano Performance at The Ohio State University. She is an active performer and educator with extensive experience as both a soloist and collaborative pianist, appearing in concerts and festivals across the United States and Asia.
Her work has been recognized through international competitions, and she has been invited to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York City as a prizewinner. In addition to her performance career, Yiwen has received multiple Outstanding Teacher Awards in international competitions, reflecting her strong commitment to music education.
With teaching experience in both the United States and China, Yiwen brings a balanced approach that combines solid technical training with a student-centered focus on musical development. She works with students of all ages and levels, helping them build a strong foundation while developing confidence, musical understanding, and effective practice habits.
