About Sophia Stroud
As a vocalist and drummer, Sophia Stroud has fostered her abilities from a young age, from singing in musical theatre shows to drumming in jazz all-star ensembles. Over the course of her sixteen-year artistic career, Sophia has taught and performed with San Jose Jazz, San Francisco Jazz, Stanford Jazz, and the USC Thornton School of Music, where she also chose to further her artistic education and received her B.A.
Post-college, Sophia returned to the Bay Area, where she currently teaches music at an elementary school in her hometown. She aspires to continue playing music around the Bay with her duo and trio groups, while eagerly expanding her experience as an educator.
