About Ray Lin
Ray Lin has studied Cello and Composition at New York University, the Colburn School and New England Conservatory. He has studied with esteemed artists such as Clive Greensmith, Mark Churchill, and David Fulmer. Ray is also an experienced Guitar player with years of gigging and studio recording work in pop, rock, and jazz genres. As a multi-instrumentalist, he is also a proficient ukulele, bass guitar, keyboard, vocals, and drums player.
Ray has performed and recorded in solo, chamber, band and orchestral settings at venues such as Carnegie Hall, Jordan Hall, the Hatch Shell, the Clive Davis studio, and Le Poisson Rouge.
Drawing from his diverse musical background, Ray is always looking to contribute his unique perspective into any musical projects he is involved in, including teaching where he aims to pass on his enthusiasm and wholistic understanding of music to any students that he works with! He believes that each student has their own most effective method of learning and is always looking to change his approach to find the best fit.
Outside of music, Ray enjoys cooking, filmmaking, and playing tennis and volleyball.
