A long time ago, in a land far away from here… Joe’s music career began with saxophone lessons in elementary school. A few years, and several outside influences later, he decided the guitar was a little more interesting and began a lifelong pursuit of learning the instrument. Being exposed to different genres of music by his instructors, parents and friends helped to mold Joe’s playing style which incorporates rock, blues, metal and country techniques and theory. He has played many gigs across the United States and Canada, from bars, clubs and festivals to arenas and stadiums on national tours, as well as several television performances ranging from regional programs to CMT and The Jimmy Kimmel Show. As an instructor of 20 years, Joe tailors each lesson to the interests, goals and musical taste of the student while emphasizing the importance of technique and music theory, incorporating both into the lesson.
