About Rob Schumacher
Rob Schumacher is a professional drummer with more than 20 years of experience. As a young child he has always had an interest for drumming and rhythm. His music education began in middle school performing in the 7th and 8th grade concert band, and continued throughout high school as one of the schools top drummers for Marching, Jazz and concert band. Embarking on his first Midwest tour at the age of 16, Rob always knew his calling was playing and performing music. Since then Rob has acquired many accolades, shared the stage with many local bands and national talents, recording with Grammy winning engineers and toured North America, Europe and parts of Asia.
Before moving to Austin, Rob played with a fairly successful band out of Dallas named Ghoultown. Over a 20 year period, Ghoultown have rocked their way across the nation for over a decade. With YouTube music videos gaining over 21 Million views and digital singles played over 500,000 downloads, earning the band national radio play.
As a local Austin musician, he actively plays with Austin’s premier 80’s rock band LC Rocks since 2016. LC Rocks have played in Austin and around Texas with a performance career spanning over 2 decades and have been highly sought after for weddings, corporate parties and traveled nationally and abroad.
He has a passion for drums and teaching and works with students of all ages and different skill levels. With a history of teaching elementary, high school students as well as adults, privately and in the classroom setting.
Some of his former students went off to graduate from the highly acclaimed Booker T performing arts school in Dallas and Berklee College of Music. He is currently involved in many music and art programs in the Austin area and certified for enrichment courses for Round Rock ISD.
