Jessica & Luis Solares opened Bucktown Music in 2008, when the two of us were teaching all of the lessons and classes ourselves, as well as running a new startup business.

We are thankful to have a wonderful staff to help expand our vision, which has stayed constant through the years: Music making is for everyone, of all ages and abilities, and in all musical styles. Music brings people together, whether it’s a parent & child, sibling, or friends. Music is a way to fuel your brain & drive creative thinking, express emotions when you can’t find the words, and bring joy to any occasion.

Join us for a lesson or class and find the music within yourself!

Our Programs

“Our son has been going to Bucktown Music 1-2x a week since he was 6 months old (he’s almost 2) and we cannot say enough great things about the Kindermusik program and, more specifically, the Bucktown Music staff!”

— Shannon Masson

“Bucktown Music has been amazing for our boys, now ages 4 and 19 months. We have been a Bucktown Music family since our oldest was two months old. His appreciation for rhythm and ability to notice similarities between two seemingly unrelated songs is tremendous. ”

— Tiffany Bedwell Reidy

“I have been taking my kids to Bucktown music since they were babies. They are 6&8 this year and now taking piano lessons. We love the teachers, owners and community of people that we have met there over the years. I highly recommend this business to everyone from babies to adults!”

— Cheryl Jones

“My toddler loves taking music classes here! The teachers are the best and the kindermusic program is amazing for toddlers and babies! I’ve watched my toddler develop a love for music and ability to play instruments.”

— Nikki Schay

“This music lesson studio provides great music education with friendly, knowledgeable, and personable teachers. Their passion for teaching anyone from birth to adults of all ages is unmatchable.”
