About Tucker Smidt
A lifelong music lover, Denver native Tucker Smidt has been playing and performing since boyhood. After learning guitar, he attempted to learn as many instruments as he could get his hands on, including drums, ukulele, and keyboards, but he would always find his home on guitar and bass guitar. Raised on rock and country but trained in jazz, soul, and funk, Tucker can be heard on a variety of recordings in several genres, and currently plays guitar with jazz/funk fusion band Space Force, and bass with rock band The Salesmen, folk-rock band The Jackson Harkness Band, and video game/movie/TV music band Nostal-Jazz, amongst other positions.
A self-professed music theory nerd with a bachelor’s degree in jazz guitar, Tucker loves to get into the nuts and bolts of what makes music work, and is a great fit for intermediate students looking to expand their musical knowledge.
