How much are the music lessons?
Weekly 30-minute private lessons are $160 per month at Fort Myers School of Music.
I don’t have any musical background or ability. Can I still help my child practice?
Absolutely! You don’t need a musical background to support your child’s learning.
Teachers can give you simple tips such as:
– How many times to repeat certain exercises
– What to listen for during practice
– How to help your child stay consistent
You’re also welcome to sit in on a lesson occasionally so you can see proper technique and posture.
How long does it take to learn music?
Learning music is a journey, and the timeline is different for every student. Most beginners can play simple songs within a few weeks or months, while strong musical skills develop over time with consistent practice.
In general:
3-6 months: Basic skills and simple pieces
1 year: Noticeable progress and growing confidence
2-3 years: Solid technique and the ability to play a wide range of music
