About Omar Richardson
Omar Richardson began his musical journey at the end of third grade when he was introduced to the orchestra. Though initially drawn to the bass, he began studying the violin, inspired by his sister and the instrument’s powerful sound. After a few years away from music, Omar rediscovered his passion during a summer break, diving into learning songs by ear and challenging himself with increasingly difficult pieces.
Throughout high school, he explored multiple string instruments, performing regularly in churches and community centers. His love for teaching blossomed while studying music and psychology at Pacific Union College. After graduation, he taught K–12 students at Castle Rock Charter School, helping them discover their own musical voices through strings and piano. Omar now teaches privately and performs locally on weekends.
He currently offers lessons in banjo, cello, guitar, viola, violin, and beginner piano.
