
About Max Greenwald
Max Greenwald began his guitar journey studying under renowned pedagogue and scholar Frank Koonce at Arizona State. This was followed by pursuing two graduate degrees as Teaching Assistant under the instruction of Dr. Stephen Mattingly and Xavier Jara at the University of Louisville. Max performs varied programs including Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and Modern works, driven by a passion for commissioning new music and chamber performance. Following graduation he performed in Europe with the Arizona Contemporary Music Ensemble. After returning he pursued a degree and certification in Music Therapy. Upon certification Max worked full time at an in-patient acute psychiatric hospital; working with children, teens, adult, and geristric clients. He has also provided clinical care for veterans and patients with TBI/ABI. Through studying a wide variety of music Max has created a unique and personal style that is accessible to all. Outside of the classical world, Max has toured with numerous bands performing psych rock, noise, ambient, surf rock, and others.
