About Makenzie G.
Makenzie Gordon is an Austin native and recent graduate of the Butler School of Music at UT Austin. Makenzie’s musical journey began in first grade when she joined her school choir, and she has been singing ever since. Makenzie’s musical interest expanded to piano when she was gifted a keyboard for Christmas when she was fourteen. She began learning songs via YouTube and began taking piano lessons. Though her primary instrument is voice, Makenzie continues to play piano for herself. As a classically trained vocalist, Makenzie has performed in opera and musical theatre productions, concert choirs, and solo recitals throughout her academic career. Makenzie has three years of experience teaching classical, musical theatre, and pop vocal styles, as well as beginner piano. She is passionate and excited to share the joy of music with students of all ages and backgrounds.
