About Dr. Betty H.
Dr. Betty is an accomplished educational leader with over 15 years of progressive experience in music performance and education, district-level administration, and arts integration. She is skilled in shaping instructional strategy, advancing professional development, and mentoring school leaders to improve educator effectiveness and student achievement. Dr. Hill has a proven record of fostering equity, collaboration, and innovation across diverse learning environments.
Prior to joining the team at Ensemble Music Schools, Dr. Hill taught vocal and instrumental music, music composition, theory, and music technology for 20 years, followed by 10 years managing a team of 400+ educators as an arts administrator for Columbus City Schools in Ohio.
She championed arts education in this role, across multiple campuses, designed K–12 arts curricula, and implemented large-scale initiatives. With a B.A in keyboard performance, an M.A. and PhD in music education, Dr. Hill has continued to pursue educational excellence and musical performance throughout her career. Her specific areas of expertise are piano, pipe organ, voice, and trumpet.
