About Cristina R.
Cristina Meléndez Rascón is a native of Ciudad Juárez, Mexico. She earned both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s Degree in Piano Performance from the University of Texas at El Paso. While pursuing her education, Cristina developed her passion for teaching. She has been teaching students off all ages for over 10 years – several of her students continue to study music professionally and perform as soloists through Mexico and the United States!
Cristina is passionate about sharing classical music while celebrating the rich traditions of Mexican composers and culture. She enjoys helping her students discover the music that speaks to them and inspiring a lifelong love of music. Cristina strives to create a welcoming, supportive environment in every lesson.
