About Alina Park

Alina Park is a distinguished cellist and educator whose career has been marked by exceptional performances and a dedication to teaching. With a Bachelor of Music in Cello Performance from the College of Music at the University of North Texas, Alina Park has established a notable presence in the classical music community.

During their academic career, Alina Park honed their craft under the guidance of esteemed mentors and participated in prestigious music festivals. They made their Carnegie Hall debut in 2018 as part of the American Protege Competition, showcasing their talent as a soloist. Alina Park also performed as a student artist at the Meadowmount Music Festival and Eastman School of Music Horizon, where they received critical acclaim and studied with renowned cellists Hans Jorgen Jensen and Alan Harris, respectively. Their performance at Baylor University Music Camp under Dr. Eka Gogichashvili further exemplified their commitment to chamber music.

In addition to their performances, Alina Park has a rich history of teaching and instructing students. They have served as a private cello instructor across various locations, including Carrollton, Denton, Frisco, Flower Mound, and Colony. They have also taught in several school districts, such as Frisco Independent School District and Lewisville Independent School District, where they held roles from Fall 2021 to Spring 2024. Notably, Alina Park has experience with the Suzuki Method, having taught from Levels 1-10 in North Texas since 2016. Their teaching portfolio also includes roles at the Korean School associated with the Denton Korean Baptist Church and Denton Independent School District.

Alina Park is fluent in both Korean and English, enabling them to communicate effectively with a diverse range of students and colleagues. Their bilingual skills enrich their teaching approach and connect with a broad audience.

Performance highlights include serving as a cello soloist at Birchman Baptist Church since 2019, where they contribute to weekly services. Alina Park’s competition successes are notable, with accolades from the Manhattan Music Competition, American Protege Competition, and Juanita Miller Competition. They were a finalist in multiple prestigious competitions, including those hosted by the Austin Symphony Orchestra and Texas Association for Symphony Orchestra.

Recognized for their exceptional talent, Alina Park was awarded the Harry H. Truman Music Scholarship, a full tuition scholarship at the University of North Texas, throughout their undergraduate studies. Their contributions to music education and performance continue to inspire students and audiences alike.
