What will I learn in my cello lessons?
Our cello teachers understand that every student is an individual, with personal musical needs and goals. We make it a priority to tailor lessons to the individual.
When you enroll, the first thing your teacher will do is ask about your favorite type of music. Together, students and teachers set goals to help accomplish musical aspirations. We love beginners, so even if you don’t know where to begin, we can help!
While children make up a good percentage of our student roster, we also love to work with adults. There is no such thing as being too old to learn to play the cello.
So, if you have the desire to learn, we have the desire to teach you— no matter your age.
Our cello teachers
Our teachers all hold university degrees in music, and structure private lessons around the student – working through repertoire from beginning to advanced levels.
Do I have to know how to read music?
No. Beginners are welcome! Our lesson plans aim to educate, engage and inspire students.
What age is the best to learn cello?
Children can begin studying string instruments at the age of 4. Many of our students participate in other orchestral opportunities in the greater Austin area.
