About Nora Majdoubeh
Nora Majdoubeh’s hobby of playing violin starting at the age of 10 transformed into a passion and her career goal was to teach music. Nora received her bachelor’s degree in music education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2021, and is now pursuing her masters degree in violin performance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She has studied with MingHuan Xu, Stefan Milenkovich, and Megan Frievogel.
During her time in the Champaign-Urbana area, Nora has performed with the Champaign-Urbana Symphony Orchestra, Sinfonia da Camera, Urbana Pops Orchestra, and University of Illinois Symphony Orchestra. Nora has taught private lessons to musicians as young as 4 years old up to adults, led sectionals in various high school orchestra programs, and conducted middle school and high school orchestra rehearsals.
Nora believes that music is all around us, and giving aspiring musicians the tools to feel confident in their abilities and knowledge is a crucial element of her teaching. Every musician is different, and Nora strives to tailor each lesson to the individual so they can find their own voice through their instrument. Nora works to achieve a balance of having fun and making progress when learning music.
