About Melissa
Melissa is an educator with 30 years of teaching experience. She has a Master of Arts degree from Rockford University and a Bachelor's degree from NIU in Visual Arts and Spanish. She has taught piano to students of all ages and has also served as an accompanist to several worship teams with Christian recording artists.
Melissa believes that musical experiences can be a foundation for enabling leadership, responsibility, and collaboration that enhance all parts of a musician’s life. She also believes that all students learn differently and understands the importance of a diversity of approaches used within a foundation of motivation and encouragement. A lifelong passion for music can be nurtured.
