About Kim L.
Mrs. Kim joined the staff in 2018. She received associate degree in business and fine art from Morton College and continued her studios in fine art and marketing at Northern Illinois University and University of Illinois, Chicago.
She had previously been employed in ad design at Elizabeth Israel Advertising Agency in Willowbrook, Illinois.
After the birth of her twin daughters, she began teaching art classes at their elementary school as well as a daycare teaching art classes. Lessons consisted of educating students about famous artists, art periods, and their masterworks and craft. She developed hands on projects to help her students recognize and appreciate various mediums of artists and their craft.
She has also taught adult art classes in a variety of venues including restaurants, banquet halls, and businesses.
Mrs. Kim’s freelance art projects include designing and painting Chicago teams, nursery projects, lawn automobile, and military signs.
She truly loves working with children and excited to help students grow in knowledge and love of art. She is passionate about helping them learn and develop skill. Mrs. Kim creates lessons that stretch the young learners and expand their understanding and awareness of art and appreciation of the masters.
Each of her 5 week classes delve into special works and themes that engage and delight her students.
