About Carolina C.
Carolina is a dedicated and versatile music teacher, with wide ranging experience and a passion for helping people grow and fill their potential. She received her Bachelor’s degree in her hometown in Colombia from the Fundación Universitaria Juan N Corpas and her Master’s Degree from DePaul University.
She made her first solo debuts, at the age of 13 and 14 with the ‘Coorporacion Orquesta Filarmónica de los Andes’. Later on, she was fellow at the International Festival of Music in Cartagena in its eight edition, and in 2015, she won the first soloist competition with the ‘Filarmonica del Café’. Between 2012 and 2014 was member of the “Corpas quartet”, winner group of the Fabio Lozano concert hall young students call, and has played with several orchestras in Colombia and the US.
As a teacher, she has been engaged in two El Sistema Programs, has worked with the Chicago Public Schools and several Music Schools. She has had a record of success with students from 3 to 70 years old; as Orchestra, Violin, Viola, Voice, Piano, Theory and Ear Training teacher. Caroline is looking forward to working with private violin and viola students of the Music Connection.
