About Nathan Smith
Nathan Smith is a dedicated teacher and multi-instrumentalist. He has been teaching woodwinds for over 20 years. As a performer, he has covered many styles of music, from rock to classical, from jazz to noise. He takes great pride in developing lasting relationships with students and teaching them in a way that best speaks to them.
Students of Nathan’s tend to do very well in their school band programs, get high marks in solo competitions, place well in college auditions, and have a tremendous amount of fun learning while working hard.
Nathan received his M.F.A. from California Institute of the Arts and his B.F.A. from Grand Valley State University.
