About Louise Floyd
Louise Floyd is an opera singer and music teacher living in Chicago. She specializes in classical music as a singer, but has experience teaching singers of many different genres. As such, Louise believes in applying classical principles to help singers find their authentic voice regardless of genre.

Under the baton of Lidiya Yankovskya, Louise made a remarkable professional debut with Chicago Opera Theater in Shostakovich’s The Nose, embodying several ensemble roles. Notably, Louise covered Metropolitan Opera star Nathan Gunn in COT’s production of Soldier Songs by David T. Little.
During the 2024 season she is excited to present Le devin du village by Rousseau with Roosevelt University CCPA.
In her free time, Louise enjoys exploring the rich culture of her new Rogers Park neighborhood, and going on road trips across the country.
