Making Music on the iPad
GET STARTEDDid you know you could make incredible music on an iPad?
A new music class for teen and adult musicians of all levels opens up the world of musical composing using readily accessible software. “You no longer have to get your friends together to hear your song played by a full ensemble,” said Andrew Capone, a professional composer and music teacher who designed the course for The Music Room. Students will learn how easy it is to create music on their own, using tools like GarageBand and Notation software.
Your Mac already contains GarageBand, a whole music creation studio with a complete sound library that includes software instruments, presets for guitar and voice, and virtual session drummers. No matter what instrument you play, you can learn to record, create, and share your music.
According to Capone there will be equal emphasis on learning the technical tools and developing songwriting skills. Students will share their work and get valuable feedback. Capone will demonstrate how he uses these tools to write professional music for video game developers and other clients.
Capone teaches guitar and classical guitar, bass, brass instruments, ukulele and piano at The Music Room. He is excited to share the musical technology that is so readily available to students today that makes composing so easy and fun. Click here for additional details about the class and to register.
