Free Guitar and Ukulele Circles Make it Easy to Play Together
GET STARTEDIt’s time to get outside and play music! Two opportunities to play together are available to all TMR patrons during these challenging times. Guitar players at all levels are invited to come together to play familiar, fun songs on Thursdays from 6pm to 7pm. Ukulele players can do the same on Tuesdays from 6pm to 7pm. Guitar and Ukulele Circles are designed to provide a platform for camaraderie in music, rather than instruction. A working knowledge of several basic chords will make for an enjoyable experience. The circles will be offered through August 29, so come join the fun.
“We’re excited to be re-opening, but realize these are trying times for many people,” said Carol Cook, owner of The Music Room. “We want to make it easy for people to experience the joy of playing in a group.” Guitar and Ukulele circles will be held outside at the gazebo at Towne Square (150 W. Palatine Road) or at the lower level of The Music Room to allow for social distancing.
