About Jaden
Jaden is from Hammond, Louisiana, and he’s always considered music a major part of his life. His interest in playing music began in 5th grade when he started learning trombone. He continued in marching band throughout high school. During his sophomore year, he picked up the drum set, and in 2020, during quarantine, he got serious about learning guitar.
Jaden currently studies Music Media at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. While there, he has studied guitar under Dr. Jeffrey George and performed with the Ragin’ Steppers, Saint Street Songsters, the Angelle Aces, and the Ragin’ Blues Band. He’s also involved in several bands, where he’s focused on ear training, learning additional instruments such as steel guitar, dobro and bass, and occasionally singing when needed.
Jaden sparked an interest in teaching when he helped teach his bandmates parts of their songs. His teaching style is centered around keeping students motivated, interested and engaged by focusing on teaching songs that his students genuinely want to learn and make them feel like they’re already making music.
