About Amber

Amber currently studies Vocal Music Education at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, under the direction of Shawn Roy. She has been involved in the University’s Chorale and also the Ragin’ Cajun Women’s Choir throughout her entire college career. Amber has also performed with the UL Opera Theater. Her most recent performance was as the Dew Fairy in Hansel and Gretel.

Amber has competed in numerous voice competitions around Louisiana, such as: NATS and LMEA All-State Choir Festivals. Winning 1st and 2nd place in the Classical Women category and Hall Johnson African American Spirituals category at NATS. On the weekends, she is a Vocalist at the Diocese of Lafayette. She is also a member of Sigma Alpha Iota. The sorority’s main goal is to foster the love of music into the community’s around its members.

Amber graduated from New Iberia Senior High in 2015 under the direction of Judy Webb. She has also fostered her community through Envision Da Berry, a non-profit whose goal is to help the community. For most of her childhood she participated in the Iberia Performing Arts League, which played a huge part into her musical journey.

Amber’s main goal in music is to spread diversity through music. Every child deserves a chance to experience the saving qualities of music. She believes age is just a number and everyone deserves a chance to have a musical experience.

Looking into the future, Amber hopes to grow a successful choir program in her community. She also hopes to audition for a summer classical program based in Europe. She also hopes to pursue a Master in Vocal Performance.
