About Michelle
Michelle Choi is a master’s student pursuing voice performance at the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music, California State University of Long Beach.
Michelle has performed both in South Korea and the United States varying performances from show choir, choral ensembles, opera, and church music to K-pop. She was majorly influenced by K-pop growing up in South Korea and she still enjoys singing. She was part of a K-pop album collaborating with Hollywood-based producers and engineers both as a singer and a lyricist. Currently, she focuses on singing classically at the university, but on the side, she loves singing Jazz, R&B, and Pop and also writes her own music.
Michelle is passionate about teaching music in a fun, enjoyable, and entertaining environment where students can come and put their stresses behind them to make music. She wishes her students to have a fun time making music, but on top of that, she also aims to teach music with firm-founding and healthy techniques. Her main goal as a music teacher is to discover students’ hidden talent and explore to amplify it to the maximum capacity!
