About Lucy
Lucy has been passionate about music since she began singing when she was six years old. What started as a childhood love for music has grown into a lifelong dedication to performing, teaching, and inspiring the next generation of musicians.
She earned her Bachelor of Music in Choral Music Education from California State University, Long Beach and is currently pursuing her Single Subject Music Credential in Music at CSU Long Beach. Lucy has also trained through the Royal Conservatory of Music, where she developed a strong foundation in musicianship and technique that continues to influence her teaching today.
As a performer, Lucy has enjoyed a wide variety of musical experiences. She sang in collegiate choirs and ensembles at CSU Long Beach, performed as a background vocalist for Glee’s Matthew Morrison, and is currently a member of the Long Beach Camerata Singers. Her diverse performance background allows her to bring real-world experience and artistry into every lesson.
Lucy believes that every student has unique strengths, goals, and potential. Her teaching is student-centered, with lessons tailored to each individual’s learning style, musical interests, and aspirations. Whether students are learning for fun, preparing for performances or auditions, or developing a lifelong love of music, Lucy strives to create a positive, encouraging environment where they feel confident to grow.
At the heart of Lucy’s teaching philosophy is the belief that every student is capable of achieving their musical goals through dedication, thoughtful instruction, and consistent practice. She emphasizes healthy technique, strong musicianship, and expressive artistry, encouraging every student to make music from the heart. Her greatest hope is that students leave each lesson feeling inspired, empowered, and excited to continue their musical journey.
