About Patrick Woodcock
Patrick is a performer and composer from Tampa Bay who knows his way around. A percussionist at heart, he’s played with ensembles such as Infinity Percussion, Heatwave Drum and Bugle Corps, the USF Herd of Thunder Marching Band, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Buc-Beat Line, and the Tampa Bay Lightning Drumline. After realizing a passion for percussion at age 13, exploration of piano, guitar, bass and voice soon followed.
He began writing his own music immediately and now composes film scores and marching band repertoire. Patrick enjoys playing live music for theatre productions, cover bands, sporting events, and his own rock group: That Idiot’s Funeral.
Patrick has always been a teacher, and has worked with many different schools in the Tampa Bay Area. He currently teaches the percussion program at Robinson High School and helps his students see music as an amazing phenomenon of connection, self expression, and the exploration of it all.
