
About Gabriela Muñoz
Gabriela Muñoz Rodríguez, a native of Coamo, Puerto Rico, began her violin studies when she was eight years old at the Escuela Libre de Música de Ponce. Her career as a violinist has led her to participate in prestigious international festivals, such as the Eastern Music Festival (2017, 2018) and Aria International Summer Academy (2019). In addition, she has participated in master classes with internationally recognized musicians, such as Dr. Corey Cerovsek, Lynn Chang, and Dr. Katie Lansdale, among others.
She continued undergrad studies at the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico, where she completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Violin Performance, graduating Magna Cum Laude and being awarded the Strings Medal, an acknowledgment given to the student with the highest average from the department. Among her principal violin teachers, we can highlight Prof. Carolina Pons Martínez, Prof. Henry Hutchinson Negrón, and Prof. Omar Velázquez Frías.
Gabriela is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Violin Performance, where she studies under the tutelage of Dr. Carolyn Stuart.
