Oksana enjoys teaching students of different ages, backgrounds, and levels. She believes that respectful relationships between students and herself are necessary for successful learning. Oksana incorporates different materials (scales, exercises for bowing and technique, studies, et cetera) in building each student’s proficiency in handling the instrument. This proficiency is applied to learning and performing pieces from traditional violinists’ repertoire along with popular songs and pieces of different genres (depending on students’ individual goals, needs, and preferences).
