About Adam Nigh
Adam is a current saxophonist, flutist, clarinetist, and music educator who performs and teaches a variety of styles including jazz, classical, r&b, and pop. He is an active freelance musician and teacher working in the Chicagoland area.
Adam grew up in Geneva, Illinois and began playing piano at the age of 7 and saxophone at the age of 10, studying with the highly regarded music educators, David Kellen and Michael Bazan. Under their tutelage, Adam garnered a love of learning and performing many styles of music. Adam received a bachelor’s degree in jazz saxophone performance from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a master’s degree in jazz saxophone performance from DePaul University, where he had the privilege of learning from world class musicians such as Chip McNeill, Debra Richtmeyer, Scott Burns, and Alyce Johnson.
