About Kate Rogers
Kate first became interested in music as a young child in church and started developing her interest through musicals, school choir, and gained confidence as a young performer through theatre, small and large singing ensembles, and singing, lessons.
Kate studied vocal and classroom music at University of Minnesota, Morris and graduated in 2007 with a BA in K-12 vocal music. She took private piano lessons for 5 years, and has studied voice for as long as she can remember.
During the day Kate is a medical receptionist and is currently involved in a lot of fun musical projects mainly through Hometown Opera Company, as well as Notochords Jazz band. Kate’s goal for her students is for them to love their instruments and enjoy the work it takes to improve and grow.
