About ZiHan Zhou

ZiHan Zhou began playing the piano at the age of six and has since achieved top prizes at local, national, and international competitions. One of his most notable accomplishments was debuting at Carnegie Hall at age 14, performing as a First Prize Winner in the “Golden Classical Music Awards.” Some local achievements include placing first in the Alameda East Piano Competition Branch, and the United States Open Music Competition. In addition to his achievements, ZiHan has successfully completed the ARSM certification with Merit, equipping him with the expertise to teach both beginner and intermediate students, and preparing them for their upcoming recitals and continued studies. ZiHan is deeply passionate about performing classical music, especially the works of Joseph Haydn, J.S. Bach and more.

ZiHan’s teaching experience spans students of all ages, including children, adults, and groups. As an experienced piano teacher, ZiHan emphasizes building fundamental skills and tailoring instruction to each student’s potential. He aims to inspire a love for music, guiding students to grow in skill while truly enjoying every moment they spend at the piano. ZiHan’s passion for music and love of teaching drive him to help each student achieve their fullest potential, both technically and creatively. He enjoys working with students to build their passion for the piano, while focusing on the fundamentals of piano and theory. ZiHan believes communication between the teacher and student/parents are the most important in a successful journey.
