About Pawel Walerowski
Cellist Pawel Walerowski was formally trained in Poland and graduated with a Master’s Degree from the Conservatory of Poznan in Cello Performance. He played in various ensembles and recorded for radio and television. Pawel received honors the J.S. Bach Competition and International Cello Competition in Austria. He served as Principal Cellist in Youth String Orchestra in Slovenia and toured with Andrew Lloyd Webber Orchestra.
Pawel came to the U.S to study cello at The University of Arizona and subsequently performed throughout much of U.S. in various ensembles. He served as a cellist for an Opera in the Ozarks in Arkansas. As a member of an eclectic band, he toured and performed at venues and festivals. He has played at San Francisco’s jazz club Yoshi’s. His other credits while in the Bay Area include recording for singer-songwriters, playing with Diablo Symphony and working at SF Symphony Adventures in Music Program.
Pawel is a versatile teacher and musician who enjoys teaching and playing in different styles, including classical, pop, and jazz.
