About Miguel Domingue
Hello, my name is Miguel Dominguez, & I teach music on cello & violin at Reeder Music Academy.
My style of teaching is focused on building the experience for learning, resulting in growing my student’s confidence through their strengths.
As a teacher, changing the lives of my students fulfills my soul. I’ve had the tremendous experience of teaching music & ballroom dancing! Along my teaching journey, I was awarded the Teaching Assistant at University of North Texas’ graduate program for cello Performance, & I received several Top Teacher awards due to motivating my students to go above & beyond their lessons.
I got started with the cello after I attended a symphonic presentation at an assembly in 4th grade, but I believe I found my calling as a teacher when I was actively visiting, teaching, & interning for middle school & high school programs while finishing my Bachelor of Music. I continued to develop my teaching skills, growing strong in communication as a ballroom dance instructor. Legs & arms are instruments, too. Lol
My teaching influences include the Alexander Technique, Rosamund Stone Zander & Benjamin Zander’s books & talks, & the incredible accumulative knowledge of top Arthur Murray professionals.
Noteworthy performances include winning the Concerto Competition during my undergraduate studies, attending the Brevard Music Summer Festival, & achieving rhythm finalist for Arthur Murray Unique Dance-o-Rama competition.
What continues to set me apart is the thing that has stayed consistent in my life. I teach. I am meant to speak to others about those things that I’m passionate about. Because of teaching, I have the chance to fuse instrumental artistry with dance artistry. I’m on both sides of the instrument.
