Karina Ibarra

About Karina Ibarra

Karina Ibarra is a pianist, educator, and collaborative musician based in Lodi, California.
She recently joined Reeder Music Academy, but has also taught for Stockton School of
Music, Sayla Music Academy, and has several years of independent private instruction,
giving her a breadth of experience with students of all ages and musical goals. Karina
emphasizes technical clarity, expressive development, and confidence-building, creating
an encouraging and structured learning environment that supports long-term growth.


As a performer, Karina has appeared with the Palo Alto Philharmonic and has extensive
ensemble experience through CSU Stanislaus, where she performed with the CSU
Stanislaus Wind Ensemble, Concert Chorale, and 20th Century Chamber Ensemble.
She also sang with the Modesto Symphony Orchestra Chorus and worked
collaboratively accompanying vocal students for the San Jose International Music
Festival. She also served as the pianist and choral accompanist for the Episcopal
Church of St. John the Baptist, collaborating with clergy and musicians for worship
service and seasonal performances.


Karina holds a B.A. in Psychology from CSU Stanislaus, where she also completed
substantial coursework toward a B.M. in Piano Performance, including studies in piano
literature, pedagogy, music theory, performance practices, and ensemble collaboration.
