About Jason

A native of Los Angeles, Jason Jeffrey began piano lessons at an early age with Phyllis Duronslet after school, who was also his music and choir teacher. He later studied with her colleague Barbara Siegal, who worked with him all through middle and high school.

It was during this time that his love for music grew, and he made the decision to pursue a degree in music. Jason later graduated class of 2014 from the University of the Pacific Conservatory of Music with a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance. His teachers include Professor Frank Wiens, Dr. Sonia Leong, and Dr. Rex Cooper. After graduation, Jason continued to take private lessons with other professors in the area to further his understanding and build on his foundation of music. Some of his teachers have included Dr. Sarah Chan of Cal State Stanislaus and Dr. Nina Scolnik of UC Irvine, Mark Steiner, and others.

He continues serving as an active musician by accompanying student and professional instrumentalists, accompanying church and community choirs, including the Pinecone Performers in Groveland, CA and has accompanied prestigious competitions such as NATS (National Association for Teachers of Singing) and GOCAA (Global Outstanding Chinese  Artists Association) International Competition. He enjoys putting on concerts and recitals and is a returning performer of the Bach Sonora Festival.
