About Anthony Grybinas
My name is Anthony, and music has been a huge part of my life since I first listened to The Beach Boys’ “Surfin USA” on my parents’ stereo at only four years old. Over the next 15 years of my life, I would go on to learn piano, guitar, bass, drums, and vocals – and sought the thrill of live performances and music production at scale. I spent some time in the music industry playing alongside other artists and also nursed some of my own projects in “Vigilant Son” and “Tuulips,” both with their respective EP’s on Bandcamp and Spotify. For me – music is one of the purest forms of translating the human experience across ages, cultures, languages, and points in time. To be able to tap into it through learning an instrument is like opening yourself up to an entirely new wavelength of expression, in a way that is both empowering and expressive in equal measure. To be able to teach that to others – especially those of us who are still discovering the world for the first time, is a cherished gift. I’ve spent the past year utilizing my skills with neurodivergent children as an RBT. With a particular client at a day care, I utilized music, specifically drums and guitar – to help encourage a healthy outlet for them as well as nourish their creativity. Where they once liked to whack objects against walls for fun – they now play rhythms on the drum that I taught them. I consider it one of the most beautiful experiences of my life, and would love for the chance to be able to help other young minds along their musical journey – in a way that I wished that I received when I was their age.
