Performance Company
Performance Company provides dancers with exciting opportunities to perform throughout the community while building confidence, stage presence, and valuable performance experience.
This program is perfect for dancers who love being on stage and want additional opportunities to share their passion for dance outside of our annual holiday show and recital.
Performance Company dancers learn and rehearse routines that are presented at community events throughout the season. These performances allow dancers to connect with audiences in a variety of settings while representing Production Company Dance Centre throughout the area.
Performance opportunities may include:
- Community festivals
- Local fairs
- Holiday events and parades
- Nursing homes and senior living communities
- Community celebrations and special events
- Local performance opportunities throughout the year
Performance Company helps dancers develop: Confidence in front of different audiences Performance quality and stage presence Teamwork and responsibility Community involvement and leadership skills Because dancers perform in a variety of venues, they gain unique experiences that extend beyond the traditional recital stage.
Performance Company rehearsals begin during the summer and continue throughout the dance season as dancers prepare for upcoming performances and events.
Participation in Performance Company is required for all Competitive Team dancers. However, dancers do not compete as part of the Performance Company program.
No audition is required for Performance Company.
Participation is by teacher recommendation. Recommendations are provided at the end of each dance season for the following year’s program. This ensures dancers are placed in a program where they can be successful and have a positive experience.
