2024-2025 Company Information
Pointe of Grace Competitive Company is a way for our students to take their dance training to the next level. Our competition company will learn a jazz and contemporary dance to compete around the Houston area. This team also has opportunities to compete solos, duets, trios, and additional small groups (Directors’ choice). Competitive company is a great way for your student to take their love and skill for the art of dance to a higher level! We are now casting dancers for our 2024-2025 season!
Auditions
Students will be auditioning in ballet barre, jazz center/across floor and contemporary choreography. Students should wear pink tights, black leotard, black dance shorts (optional), hair in a bun, & ballet and/or jazz shoes. Bring a water bottle!
Placement in Competition Company is NOT guaranteed with audition but based on age and skill. If company placement is not found, a place in our Performance Team will be given.
Auditions: June 1st
12:00-1:30 2nd-4th Grade
2:00-3:30 5th-7th Grade
4:00-5:30 8th-12th Grade
Cost: $30.00/student
Sibling discount: 25% off second and third students

Summer
Summer Classes: Our competition company members are required to register for either POG’s Ballet Intensive or POG Summer weekly Ballet classes.
Compnay Intensive: Aug 6th-8th, Times and Prcing TBD. Full participation is required. Company members will take multipe technique classes, learn choreography, learn company ediquette, and work on team building.
Fall/Spring
Monthly Company Fee: $130 includes…
- Rehearsals: 1 hour weekly rehearsal (Tuesdays) with your team to rehearse jazz and contemporary routines
- Competition Costumes: Jazz & Contemporary
- Company Photoshoot
- Competitive Team Directors
- Company Show Participation
- Two Socials
- Season T-Shirt & End of year medal
Required Technique Classes: Additional Tuition/Month (calculated by hrs/wk)
- Ballet, Jazz and 1 class of student’s choice
Required Show Performances:
- Christmas Recital; Opening Company Production Number, Ballet Technique Class
- Company Show; All competition dances
- Spring Recital; All Technique Classes
Non-Included Expenses:
- Three Houston area Competition Fees (Spring)
- One Houston area Convention/Competition (Fall)
- Company Jacket ($90 for new company members)
