Whatever instrument you or your child wishes to learn, chances are we teach it! We offer lessons for piano, guitar, bass, drums, voice, ukulele, violin, viola, cello, brass, woodwinds, and more — all under one roof. Having multiple instruments available in one place allows families to conveniently schedule lessons for multiple students on the same day.

Our experienced music instructors have professional performance experience, college training, and a passion for helping students succeed. We proudly work with students of all ages and skill levels, from beginner through advanced.

We offer flexible lesson scheduling six days a week to accommodate busy family, school, and work schedules.

At Old Towne Music, lessons are offered on a convenient month-to-month basis with no long-term contracts required. Students can begin anytime, and we simply require a 30-day notice to discontinue lessons.

In addition to private lessons, Old Towne Music offers specialized group programs designed to encourage creativity, teamwork, and confidence in a fun and supportive environment.

For children ages 18 months to 7 years, MusicFunTime introduces music through games, movement, crafts, and beginner instruments while helping develop early cognitive and social skills.

For students ages 8 to 18, Rock University allows students to rehearse in bands and perform live concerts with professional sound and lighting. We also offer beginner group piano and guitar classes for students who enjoy learning in a social setting.

For over 50 years, Old Towne Music has built a reputation for quality music education trusted by thousands of South Jersey families. Our experienced teachers provide professional instruction in piano, guitar, voice, drums, strings, brass, woodwinds, and more in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Parents and guardians are welcome to relax in our comfortable waiting area with free WiFi during lessons, or sit in on lessons anytime to observe their child’s progress.

Our lesson studios are fully equipped with quality instruments and equipment including pianos, keyboards, amps, stereos, and full drum kits with pads. We’ve invested heavily in creating clean, comfortable, and inspiring learning spaces for our students.

Every parent loves seeing their child’s progress, and students gain valuable confidence and performance experience by participating in concerts and recitals.

Throughout the year, students have opportunities to perform in recitals, Rock University concerts, preschool showcases, and ensemble performances. Participation is always optional, but highly encouraged for students looking to build confidence and stage experience.

Performances have been held at venues including The Grand Theater in Williamstown, the Mullica Hill Library, World Café Live, Landmark Americana, The Village Pub, and more.

We pride ourselves on providing exceptional customer service. Our lesson coordinators and administrative staff are available to assist with scheduling, answer questions, and help ensure a smooth experience for every family.

Students and families also have access to a convenient online portal where they can view lesson schedules, manage account information, update payment methods, request make-ups, and communicate with our office staff anytime.

We proudly recognize student progress through achievement awards, certificates, and our unique Musical Ladder® wristband program. These motivating rewards encourage students to practice consistently, stay engaged, and celebrate their accomplishments along the way.

Need to reschedule a lesson? No problem. Simply notify us before your scheduled lesson time and we’ll gladly help arrange a make-up lesson. We offer four make-up lessons per year.

We’re conveniently located in Turnersville (Washington Township) and Swedesboro (Logan Township), serving students and families throughout Gloucester County, Camden County, Salem County, and surrounding South Jersey communities. Over the years, we’ve welcomed students from across South Jersey, as well as the Philadelphia and Wilmington, Delaware areas.

We carry a wide selection of instruments, accessories, books, and music gear at competitive prices. Our knowledgeable staff can help students and families find the right equipment for every age and skill level.

Old Towne Music offers instrument rentals, repairs, sound system rentals, and professional installations. Whether you need a guitar setup, electronic repair, brass or woodwind service, or in-home piano tuning, our experienced technicians are here to help keep your instruments performing their best.
