Having all these lessons in 1 location saves you valuable time, since your family can have 2 or more family members take private lessons at the same time or day.

We have 40 music teachers in 3 locations, all with either college training or professional performance experience. Our music teachers are dedicated to learning about your personal musical goals and helping you to achieve them. With at least three music teachers for every instrument, we are confident that we have the right teacher to meet your music lesson needs. In addition to their teaching credentials, our teachers have warm personalities, are extremely friendly and dedicated to teaching you the style of music that you want to learn in your music lessons.

We are the only music school in New Jersey that offers music lessons six days a week from early in the morning to late at night to accommodate your busy schedule.

At Old Towne Music, we don’t lock you into a long-term commitment or semester contract. Lessons are on a month to month basis! You can begin anytime, and to stop lessons, we just need a 30 day notice. Our desire is to inspire our students with the love of music. We do this through outstanding teachers and music that our students love- not contracts.

We have specialized, unique programs that are specifically designed to encourage students and get them involved in learning music in fun and friendly structured groups. No other music academy or private lesson teacher in the area can offer you these innovative and exciting programs.

For Preschool / Young Children ages Ages 18 months to 7 years, there’s MusicFunTime. Children 7 and under can learn to read music notation and symbols, and play instruments, while fostering their ability to grasp math and science as they develop.

The award winning program focuses on learning music theory in a fun, artistic way through specially developed games and crafts.

For kids ages 8 to 18 years, we offer Rock University, students rehearse in groups for 4 months (16 rehearsals) then participate in two rock concerts in a theater, club or outdoor facility with professional sound and lighting for family and friends to attend. Our full time mission is teaching music lessons trusted by thousands of families for nearly fifty years.

Instead of waiting in a stuffy hot car, or making multiple trips, parents or guardians are welcome to relax in our comfortable waiting room with free Wi-Fi. Or if they prefer, they can sit in on their child’s lesson anytime to see how they are doing.

Our rooms are stocked with everything you need for music lessons, including amps, stereos, full drum kits with pads, keyboards, pianos and more. We have spent thousands of dollars on our studios to offer students a well-appointed, clean, comfortable learning space.

Every parent loves to see their child’s progress, and students gain unequaled experience and confidence when they participate in one of our concerts or recitals.

We hold over 16 combined shows per year for our students. Students have the option to perform in these multiple recitals, but it’s not required. We have 2 rock concerts every four months for our rock school, orchestral performances, and our young preschooler performances. These shows have been held at the newly rebuilt Grand Theater in Williamstown, and the Mullica Hill Library. Our rock school concerts are often held in club venues throughout the area including World Café Live, Hi-Nella Inn, House of Brews, Racks Pub & Grille, Otts, Landmark Americana, The Village Pub and many others.

We strive to bring you the best customer service possible. That’s why Old Towne Music has a Lesson director and three lesson coordinators readily available to help you schedule and answer your questions. While other music lesson providers may not provide front desk staff, we always have full time administrative assistants to help you during ALL lessons, quickly and professionally. Excellent customer service is what sets us apart!

We are the only music school in the area that gives their students the opportunity to earn special color wristband bracelets (kids and teens love them!), and certificates for passing musical tests. Do other schools offer awards and certificates? A few. But none of them inspire their students with smiling faces (see pictures to the left) by giving them full color, really cool “Musical Ladder®” wristbands that they can show off to their friends. The Musical Ladder® is our unique method of music education that you can only get here.

Need to reschedule? No problem! Simply notify us before your scheduled lesson time and we’ll reschedule you. We offer four make-up lessons per year.

We’re conveniently located in Turnersville (Washington Township), West Deptford and Swedesboro (Logan Township) and just a short drive away from Camden County and Salem County. In fact, we’ve had students from all over South Jersey as well as Philadelphia and Wilmington, Delaware!

We carry a large selection of name brand musical instruments, accessories and books – all at discount prices. Our knowledgeable staff will help you choose what’s best for your style of music and skill level.

At Old Towne Music, we have a large array of rental instruments available- including string and brass instruments for school bands! We rent Band & DJ gear, and also offer Sound System sales, rentals and installations.
